I drew this picture of Apollo for my story "Return to the Underworld". I've digitally redrawn and recoloured the image so it looks less rough when transferring it onto my computer. I also added a subtle gradient effect, although I don't think I did a great job with it.
So...yeah. This isn't exactly how I envisioned Apollo, but when I was trying to draw a picture of him from scratch, I found out that I suck at illustration without reference. So I took a screenshot of a random bat in the TV series and sketched him from that, making a few modifications as I saw fit.
I also added a shadow effect to make him look more mysterious. I think it worked well enough, but it's hardly distinguishable from the rest of his body...

If you don't like the way you draw then perhaps I can help you. What else does my profile name mean? Have you considered trying a new type of software? OpenOffice for example.
